Eyes speak volumes that words always fail with! Invariably your eyes are what people notice first, so you need to make sure that your eyes look good no matter what on your special day.

Eyebrow shape:

Do not experiment with your eyebrows shape before wedding. Especially do not follow celebrities’ eye brow shapes. If your face shape and looks aren’t like Shilpa Shetty or Angelina Jolie, their eye brow shapes will not suit your face shape.

However, make sure to keep yourself updated on how to make your eyebrows thicker and in right shape before wedding, as it will also help you look the best on your D day.

A proper makeup artist can give your eye brows a good shape depending on your face shape.

Bridal Lashes:

False lashes have been in fashion for a while. You too can try them out too give you that extra dramatisation.

Before your wedding, practice a bit on putting the lashes with glue. You may need to crop the lashes with fine scissors to fit your eye size and lash length.

Bridal Eye shadow Tips:

If you are an Indian bride, go for bronze or golden Smokey eyes – they go very well with a lehenga or sari. You can also choose dark peachy shades since they look great on Indian skin tone. If you are to wear a gown, go for pinkish and orangish shades to match your white gown.

End shadows with an extension gives a more dramatic look.

Bridal Eye lining Tips:

If your eyes are small, do a thin lining to make them appear bigger. You can go for a thin line on the bottom rim also.

If your eyes are big then do thick lining on the top. Minimise the wider appearance of the eyes by doing a dark bottom lining.

Eye Products Tips:

Products for eyes starting from liner to mascara should be irritant free for your skin and eyes. Buy and try these products in advance to avoid wedding day disasters. Sometimes products from well-known brands also may not suit your skin. If you plan to wear coloured lens, buy and try at least a month before to get to know how comfortable you are in them.

1. Cleansing the face

Indian brides love to use bold and bright colors for their marriage ceremonies. In order to have a long lasting look, you should start by cleansing your face well and then patting it dry so as to ensure that there are no traces of dirt or oil on the face.

2. Base Preparation Tips

6. Eye shadow tips

Indian brides love peachy eye makeup shades, since they it goes well with their red, fuchsia or green lehengas, ghagras or heavy saris. So If you want to play it safe, this is the color to go with!

Use an eyebrow pencil or an angular brush dipped in brow powder for the eyebrows.

Do not experiment with browns or blue liners on your wedding day. It’s better to use plain and simple jet-black liner, preferably water proof. Draw a thick lining on top and a heavy lining with a strong kajal on the bottom making a sided wing lining for that extra oomph.

Use waterproof make-up products, so that it does not get washed away if you get soaked in the rain.

1. Yogurt and Turmeric:

Mix 2 teaspoons of yogurt with a pinch of turmeric powder and apply it on your face for 15 minutes every day. This helps to remove Tan and also keeps your skin fresh, soft and healthy.

2. Neem and Chandan:

Use a pack of Chandan on your face for 12 minutes. Wash it off with a solution of soaked and strained neem leaves

When done regularly, this procedure will help you fight pimples. Neem is very popular as one of the oldest and most powerful anti-bacterial agent ever. It will also help you get a great complexion too.

3. Lemon:

Apply a solution of Lemon juice, Cucumber juice and Milk in a 2:2:1 ratio on your face to brighten up the complexion.

5. Blemishes:

To clean blemishes, use some juice of lemon, milk and cucumber in the ratio of 1:2:1 respectively to clean the face with a cotton ball.

6. Dry Skin Cleansing:

For dry skin cleansing, 10 drops of sunflower oil and three drops of raw milk should be mixed to clean your face using a cotton ball.

7. Tan removal:

To remove sun tan, a mixture of 1 egg white,1 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp honey can be mixed together and used on your face. Wash it off after 15 minutes.

8. Oily skin:

To remove excess oiliness, a mixture of 2 tbsp of tomato juice mixed with curd can be used onto face on a daily basis and washed off after 15 minutes.

9. Dark patches:

To remove dark patches on the skin, a mixture of 1 part honey with 2 parts lemon juice can be used for 15 minutes.

10. Dark circles:

To remove under eye patches or dark circles, massage sweet almond oil with your ring finger slowly in round movements daily.

11. Skin Whitening:

For normal to oily skin, a face pack made of oatmeal, yogurt, honey and ground almonds i.e. sweet almond powder can be used on to face. This is one of the best natural beauty tips for fair skin which is normal to oily.

12. For normal to dry skin:

Hide Pimples With Makeup

Step 1:

One thing about breakouts people do not consider is that when they grab for concealers and foundations, they like covering it more than visiting a dermatologist , this should not be done in case of intense breakouts, a dermatologist should be consulted , and there should be discarding of make up sponges at regular intervals , otherwise the bacteria will get contaminated to the makeup products and other areas of the skin as well. Do not use with directly from foundation bottles with finger tips , you may be transferring the bacteria to the bottle itself .

Step 2: Foundation

One or two pimples , is very easy to cover , take a bit of foundation on a palette , and take on finger tip , dab on to the area and then after 10 sec it’s dried, swipe a second coat of foundation with a makeup sponge. Make sure that the foundation has a yellow tone to it. This is good for pimples which are standing , but not red enough.

Step 3:

Now when do u need a concealer , concealer it self needs a little pressing into the skin, so it’s good when the pimples or acne are scarred and red. Before using a concealer in skin tone , if the pimples are real red , try using a green concealer, if u cant get a green concealer then put a little bit of green from any of your matte eyeliner pencils, then cover it up with a concealer, by dabbing it on to the pimples area then Swipe with a foundation.

Step 4: Powder

Use of a compact or a normal talc with a puff , is definitely recommended to hold the makeup firm in the place of the pimple prone area.

Step 5:

Distraction: The art os distraction can make or break your look. This tells u to shift the focus of the people watching or seeing u from your problem area to a “no problem” zone. Like if you have Pimples on your cheeks , then you should use some glossy lipsticks and so on. so that people’s attention shifts to your lips. If you have acne on your chin and they are really terrible, then do not put too much shiny gloss on lips because it will further draw the watcher’s attention to the chin-lip area. Instead play with your eyes and make them bold and dark. Again if you have pimples on your forehead then definitely you can play up some gloss and at the same time some bronzer or reddish blush to the cheeks can play the trick.
